The TarryHollow Repair Cafe inaugural event was April 2023; and what a success! With over 40 volunteers, teens to septuagenarians, almost 100 guests and over 100 repairs attempted; we had an 80% repair success rate!

It is part of an intervillage community effort known as the Rivertowns Repair Cafe – and is organized by volunteers from Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow.
Repair Cafés are free community-centered workshops where people bring consumer products that are in need of repair, working with volunteer fixers to repair these broken or faulty products. The central ethos of a Repair Café transform our throw-away economy one beloved item at a time, teaching oft-forgotten skill sets and fostering community connections.
